Vinnie Vincent was Kiss’ lead guitar player from 1982 to 1984. He has helped shape some songs that are arguably some of Kiss’ biggest radio hits in the 1980s and still part of their live set today. He also helped shape hits for people like The Bangles and John Waite. To say he is talented is an understatement.
Upon parting with Kiss’, Vincent went on to form his own band Vinnie Vincent Invasion. They released two albums before a bitter end. Vinnie went on to work with his old band mates on the Revenge record, writing killer tracks such as “Unholy” and “I Just Wanna”. Vinnie then went underground for a few years. 1996 saw him guest at some Kiss Expos in Europe and from then, Vinnie disappeared. Talk of new music, expansive box sets and came and went, leaving unhappy fans and well publicised issues.
Fast forward to 2018, and the return of Vinnie Vincent at the Atlanta Kiss Expo. Where has Vinnie been? I’m sure a quick google search will bring you up to speed, its easy to find, and it’s sure not pretty. But we decided to contact Vinnie and his camp to see if he was up for a chat, with the hopes we could hear his plans for the future. And he was happy to take our call. Sure we talk a little about the past, but we try and let everyone know whats going on in the present and the future.
Here is our chat with the one, the only, Vinnie Vincent
Hear 2 Zen would like thank Vinnie for his time, and to Randy from Vinnie’s team for putting all the pieces of the puzzle together.
