CHUGG MUSIC is proud to announce the signing of Gold Coast based Country Rock music artist CASEY BARNES to its growing management and recording roster. Also announced today is that the Golden Guitar finalist has joined Select Music for live representation in a move which will help the independent artist manage his already hectic touring schedule.

The Gold Coast based, Barnes had a solid start to 2018 when his current album, The Good Life debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Album Chart and peaked at #2 on the ARIA Country Album Chart.  Radio has embraced a number of cuts from the album including, The Way We RideBe Mine, and his current single, Better Days. Lead single, Ain’t Coming Home enjoyed consecutive weeks at #1 on the Country Tracks Top 40 chart.

The Good Life has helped Casey to grow his audience to over 134,000 listeners per month across streaming services alone. His recordings have generated 4.37 million streams with over 40,000 fans joining in online to tell the likeable artist that they are ready for whatever he’s got next in store for them.

‘The last couple of years have been a time incredible of growth for me personally and professionally,’ said Barnes. ‘I dared to approach Michael Chugg when I played CMC Rocks and was stunned to find that he knew my music.’ Barnes’ approach was timed to perfection with Chugg Music in growth mode and looking for great new music and artists to represent regardless of genre.

Helmed by Michael Chugg and his business partner Andrew StoneChugg Music’s internationally successful roster includes, Sheppard, Lime Cordiale, Avalanche City and The Griswolds.

‘We can’t wait to release the brand-new recordings that Casey has coming up, starting in September,’ said Michael Chugg ‘We’re assembling a world class team to work with Casey, and we’ve been getting great feedback already from Australia and the U.S. about what the music could achieve with Australian and international audiences.’

Stephen Wade and Rob Giovannoni of Select Music have also seen the potential in Barnes music adding the him to Select’s live roster.  His recent performances at the Groundwater Country Music Festival on the Gold Coast won Barnes the Inaugural P&O People Choice Award.

Stephen Wade and Rob G at Select reflected that ‘the team around the artist is a huge determining factor in if we think an act is worth investment. We have a great relationship with Michael, Andrew and their team at Chugg Music. Combined with the hard yards that Casey has put in over recent years across the country, we hope we can help fuel the fire that he’s already started at festivals and with his headline shows.’

Frank Varrasso has been tapped to take the new music to radio next month.  In the US, Mark Roeder of William Morris Agency (WME) will present Casey Barnes to promoters. Music distribution will be via MGM.
