Hear 2 Zen Hangs With: Tyler Connolly From Theory Of A Deadman

Hanging With Hear 2 Zen today is Tyler Connolly from Theory Of A Deadman (abbreviated as Theory). The band consistently deliver undeniable anthems rooted in scorching songcraft, experimental vision, rock ‘n’ roll attitude, and clever pop ambition. After nearly two decades, the musicians landed their biggest career hit in the form of ‘Rx (Medicate)’ from 2017’s Wake Up Call. Not only did it receive a platinum plaque, generate 100 million plus streams, and become their third number one on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, but it also received a nomination in the category of ‘Rock Song of the Year’ at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Theory’s seventh full-length offering, Say Nothing marks the start of a bold new chapter introduced by the 2019 single ‘History of Violence’.

Tyler checked in with us to chat about their upcoming album “Dinosaur”, as well as the anticipation and nervousness of debuting a brand new song (of the same name) in front of a festival crowd, as well as what its like to play the US Summer Festival Circuit. We also touch on things like song placement for TV Shows, Movies and Sports Broadcasts, which is a thing a lot of artists are trying for at the moment, and much more.

Thanks to Tyler for his time and don’t forget the Theory boys will be down here in early 2023 with follow hard rockers Halestorm.
