The wait is nearly over – the first Tent Pole festival is just days away.

Tent Pole is taking over Mt Duneed Estate’s Top Paddock in Geelong on Saturday, 4 March and we’ve got all the info you need to start planning your day.

With a bill teeming with revered, respected and rising stars, the inaugural Surf Coast musical jamboree will turn the festival experience on its head with a line-up curated for maximum enjoyment over 2 stages.

Return buses are available from Melbourne, Laverton, Werribee, Torquay and Geelong.

Hot on the heels of their sold-out Palais show, headliners PAVEMENT, one of the most influential bands to emerge from the American underground in the past three decades, will play the final show of their Australian tour at Tent Pole.

Joining PAVEMENT are indie rock royalty SPIDERBAIT, legendary Geelong locals MAGIC DIRT, Texan blues alt-country singer-songwriter CHARLEY CROCKETT, Melbourne alt-pop-rock faves FLOODLIGHTS, San Diego rock’n’soulers THE SCHIZOPHONICS, US garage punk rockers BLACK LIPS, post-punk trio legends MOD CON, power pop rockers THE PRIZE, punk power trio CLAMM, Bellarine-based psychedelic dream pop, prog rockers SIRENS and just added to the bill, charismatic crooner JERIKYE WILLIAMS.

Set times are up so you can plan your day – 2 stages, 12 acts, no clashes, 1 amazing day!

Gates open at 1.00pm with Surf Coast 4-piece SIRENS kicking off proceedings on the OK Motels stage. Arrive early and discover your next favourite band!

The family-friendly event will also include an assortment of market stalls, food trucks, games and activities, as well as a quiet retreat to relax for some sensory and sonic downtime.

Auslan Stage Left, a national organisation specialising in the arts and performance interpreting, will be at the event, providing access for the Deaf Community.

Whet your appetite with some top-notch Americana-style offerings including pulled beef brisket burgers, slow-cooked smoky Louisiana style pork ribs, jalapeno & cheddar croquettes, as well as souvlakis from the Greek Trojan food truck and the Taco Station serving a mouth-watering Mexican menu. Vegetarian and vegan food available. Wash it all down with a selection of wine, cocktails, lager, cider, spirits, soft drinks and non-alcoholic beer.

Tent Pole is the first collaboration between Roundhouse Entertainment (the team behind Australia’s iconic outdoor summer concert series a day on the green), Love Police (led by music maverick Brian ‘BT’ Taranto, promoter of excellent international tours Out On The Weekend & Boogie, merch guru, book publisher and record label wiz) and Johann Ponniah, founder of I OH YOU (home to one of the country’s most successful independent record labels). They are combining their decades of expertise in booking the finest bands from all over the globe to give music fans the ultimate experience.

In a celebration of art, music and retro road trips, OK Motels will take over the second stage, curating a line-up that will embrace their unique love of all-things rural and retro. And with a nostalgic nod to the ’70s – Kate Berry, the founder and photographer behind everyone’s favourite Instagram account – with Shaun Adams, will produce a very OK program celebrating music, nostalgia and the great Aussie road trek.
