This a day on the green show has been added to an extensive Australian and New Zealand tour announced earlier this year. American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist KING PRINCESS will join FLORENCE + THE MACHINE at Sirromet Wines, as well as Brisbane indie-rockers LAST DINOSAURS and singer-songwriter HATCHIE. Supporting FLORENCE + THE MACHINE is American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist KING PRINCESS (aka Mikaela Straus), who will perform at all of the Australian and New Zealand shows. Her 2018 debut EP, Make My Bed, debuted at number 1 in the Official New Zealand Music Chart. The EP’s first single, 1950, peaked at number 25 on the ARIA Charts and is certified 2x ARIA Platinum, while the second release, Talia, is certified ARIA Gold. In 2019 KING PRINCESS released her debut studio album Cheap Queen featuring the title track and Prophet. Her latest album, Hold On Baby, was released in July, featuring standout tracks Little Bother and For My Friends. Indie-rock trio LAST DINOSAURS are celebrating the release of their fourth studio album From Mexico With Love, featuring the sparkling pop gem Put Up With The Weather. Hailing from Brisbane, their energetic sound resonates with fans all over the world. They have played sold out shows around the world, as well as festivals including Splendour In The Grass, Laneway, Falls Festival and Field Day. With a sound that harks back to the rhythmic 2000s, the band gained huge attention in 2012 with the release of their critically acclaimed first album In A Million Years, debuting at number 8 on the ARIA Album Chart, described by AU Review as “the catchiest songs you’ll hear this side of 2000”, calling the record, “a strong contender for the best Australian album of the past twenty years!” Brisbane dream-pop artist HATCHIE makes a welcome return to a day on the green. Releasing her second album Giving The World Away in April, the record saw the musician dip into moody pop territory, while pushing boundaries of her signature shoegaze meets dream-pop sound. Featuring vibrant and dynamic singles Quicksand and Lights On, STACK magazine proclaimed; “This album shows that Hatchie is the real deal. And like all great pop music, it manages to sound both nostalgic and right now.” While Brooklyn Vegan called it, “A shimmery dream-pop confection”. Don’t miss FLORENCE + THE MACHINE – with special guests KING PRINCESS, LAST DINOSAURS and HATCHIE – at a day on the green at Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton when they return in 2023 with their most ceremonious live shows yet.
