Live Review: Jack Johnson – Brisbane 2022

I love going to a gig at Brisbane’s Riverstage. Our city is so pretty as you wander through the gardens on the way into the venue. We arrived a little early and could hear the crew sound checking, which was pretty cool. 

As we came through the gates, we added ours to the sea of picnic blankets taking over the grassy hillside. This really is the best venue for an afternoon and evening of chill music and singing and dancing with roughly 9000 other fans

This is another tour that got rescheduled several times due to Covid, so it is great to see it finally going ahead! And there is a certain feeling you get when the world renowned artist on the stage used to live just up the road!  But first, we were treated to the amazing music stylings of Birds of Tokyo. There were signs of a thunderstorm, but the only spark was that of the stunning lineup of this year’s One Electric Day finishing the final leg of an incredible tour in Sunny Queensland’s gold Coast. (Well, kinda sunny?)
Australia’s royalty of musical heavyweights The Chocolate Starfish, The Screaming Jets, Baby Animals, The Angels, and Noise Works supporting the incomparable, glamorous, stunning, classy, and sexy! (I could go on…) Suzi Quatro.
