Well it is early but so far I have meditated and then had my morning coffee. Done a few emails and excited for the day! Tell us about yourself, how long have you been performing/creating music for? I started writing music, singing and playing instruments from the ripe old age of 5 years old. My mother was and still is a huge influence in starting me out in music and nurturing my gifts. It was unaffectionately known by the household as the “Ratmobile” because for months it has had rats enter the vehicle at night and pilfer whatever food source my daughter or dog (or I) had left behind. NEWS: BRIGITTE BARDINI UNVEILS DREAMY NEW SINGLE & VIDEO HEARTBREAKER LIFTED FROM DEBUT ALBUM STELLAR LIGHTS – ANNOUNCED FOR AUGUST 30 RELEASE News by Hear2Zen Magazine - August 9, 20210 Heartbreaker is lush and sprawling, just like previous singles Aphrodite and Wild Ride, but is also quite an upbeat offering from Brigitte, showcasing a diversity and artistic maturity beyond her years. Taking inspiration from iconic artists such as PJ Harvey, Thom Yorke and sonic masters Air, Heartbreaker pulses and pulls, pairing soft, ever-present synths with sharp beatmaking and Brigitte’s idiosyncratic vocal. Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Brigitte says, “Heartbreaker is about having something very special in your life and exploring that hypothetical situation in your mind that you might lose that thing. A lyric like ‘I don’t want to lose my future to my past’ really captures that anxiety of lingering on past events and catastrophising about future events, and just trying to do my best to live in the moment.”
Q+A WITH PIRRA Q+A by Hear2Zen Magazine - August 9, 2021August 9, 20210 After a year of isolation and anxiety, an exuberant track like Never Apart is a welcome, much-needed release. It’s an irresistible bop from start to finish – synths bounce energetically as lead vocalist Jess Beck’s clever, hooky melodies earworm themselves into the listener’s memory. Drawing upon influences such as Northeast Party House, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Running Touch, it’ll have you singing along even through the first listen.
