Jimmie also plays with Todd Kerns, Raiding The Rock Vault, The Hellenbacks, plus is well known for his production work with artist like Bruce Kulick (ex Kiss), and he also produced the latest Jetboy album.

Jimmie chats with us about the upcoming Glamfest appearance, his work with various acts as well as his production. Its a super relaxed and fun chat, and we cannot wait to see Jimmie and the guys in Jetboy at Glamfest Australia 2024.

Founded in 1983 by guitarists Billy Rowe and Fernie Rod, JETBOY continues to carry their style of Rock N’ Roll into the 21st century with the same fury that existed 40 years ago. Long recognized as one of the perfecters of the glam genre, JETBOY was one of a handful of acts that got the attention of music fans and record executives alike. While Hollywood was loaded with musical talent, San Francisco had but one true leader at the time, and that leader was JETBOY. Now a cross-generational powerhouse, JETBOY is experiencing a resurgence in popularity that can only be attributed to their musical relevance. Rock N’ Roll fans the world over are beginning to revisit the music that helped to shape a generation, and is now becoming the soundtrack for their offspring. Songs like Feel the Shake, Heavy Chevy, Stomp it (Down to the Bricks), and their up rocked up version of Folsom Prison Blues have struck a chord with an increasingly more discerning audience.

Their latest album “Crate Diggin’”, by Jetboy on Cleopatra Records. Track list includes songs from Thin Lizzy, Gary Wright, James Taylor, Hall & Oates, Boz Scaggs, Jay Ferguson, Supertramp, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Jerry Reed, Dr. Hook, James Gang, Rainbow, The Marshall Tucker Band, with Special Guests: Todd Kerns, Danko Jones, Tuk Smith, Sami Yaffa.

Jetboy will be heading to Australia as part of Glamfest Australia 2024. 16-18 Feb 2024 Hard Rock, Glam, Classic, Melodic Rock & more on one stage, playing in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. Nostalgia is everything and Silverback Touring knows this as they deliver the second instalment of Glam Fest, their hard rock, glam, classic and melodic rock mini fest which debuted in 2023.

The 2024 edition stays true to form with a healthy mix of acts from the heyday of Eighties hard rock through to modern day acts proudly wearing the influence of the era that brought us big guitars, big hooks and big hair.

Fronting the line-up is Multi-Platinum sellers SLAUGHTER featuring long time collaborators Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum. The band, now in its 35th year, continues to tirelessly tour the world over and finally makes it to Australia for the first time ever. They will be joined by guitar maestro GEORGE LYNCH with his post Dokken band, LYNCH MOB on their farewell tour, JANET GARDNER, the voice of female ‘80s sensations Vixen, Sweden’s H.E.A.T, as well as first time visitors in melodic rock act TYKETTO, cult ‘80s Sunset Strip rockers JETBOY and fast rising Swedish sleaze kings, THE CRUEL INTENTIONS. The bill is rounded out by a selection of local hard rock acts led by the ever-popular Melbourne trio, Sisters Doll and also includes: Ablaze, Dept of Gloom, Crosson, The Black Cardinals, Ragdoll, Cassidy Paris, DJ Paul Miles and Wicked Smile.

On Glam Fest, Silverback’s Danny Bazzi says, “This is the show that fans of ‘80s hard rock and ‘80s inspired hard rock wish they got back when this music ruled the charts and airwaves. It’s here now and we’re taking everyone back to a time when music was fun and loose with bands that fans wanted to see, should have seen and need to see”.
