We were in for a treat at the final show of the Australian tour with Amaranthe, featuring the amazing local support act, Krave! Despite it being a school night, the energy and electricity that filled the Tivoli was incredible.

Local rockers Krave warmed up the Brisbane crowd with an electrifying performance. From the moment they hit the stage, their energy was palpable. Vocalist Siana Davis not only highlighted her incredible vocal range but also her impressive bass skills. Her commanding presence and quirky, high-adrenaline rock style made it hard to take your eyes off her.

Krave is building a legendary status within the local Brisbane and Aussie music scene, and it is easy to see why. With catchy hooks, heavy riffs, and dynamic stage presence, they create a perfect blend of power and rhythm, reminiscent of Pantera and Halestorm.

Krave smashed out their original music, warming the crowd and clearly making some new friends. Ryan was amazing on guitar as usual, displaying his technical and versatile playing style while running and jumping from one end of the stage to the other. His unique depth adds a special touch to Krave, making him one of the best guitarists Brisbane has to offer.

Alongside Ryan and Siana, Lachy provided a rock-solid backline with his drumming intensity and enthusiasm, enhancing an already amazing set. His driving force behind the kit worked perfectly with the energy of his bandmates, making for an unforgettable performance.

If you are a fan of hard rock and metal mixed with a little of everything else and have not seen Krave live yet, you’re missing out on one of Brisbane’s most promising bands. Their passion and talent make them a standout act in the local music scene.

The crowd was warmed up by 9pm, and the Tivoli was buzzing with anticipation. Suddenly, the voice of AI filled the venue, lights flickering, building the excitement as Amaranthe hit the stage. They kicked off with a spectacular start, performing “Fearless,” “Viral,” and “Digital World” to begin their 19-song set. It was easy to see why this band is renowned for their high-energy performances and engaging stage presence!

From the get-go, the chemistry was undeniable. Whether it was Elize’s powerful vocals, Henrik’s intense growls, or Nils’ melodic singing, each member brought something special to the stage, making it hard to focus on just one area. Each performance was a testament to their unique talents and the dynamic energy they bring to their shows.

Elize was commanding from the start, dressed in a black trench coat with confidence and charisma. Her vocal range is so impressive it is easy to see why she is widely recognized for her exceptional vocal abilities, making her one of the standout female vocalists in the metal genre! Elize makes it look so seamless transitioning between powerful, operatic highs and softer, melodic tones.

The band went into each song one after the other with unsurpassed energy: “Maximize,” “Strong,” “PVP,” and an Aussie tribute to the setlist, “Boomerang.” The melody this band brings with a fusion of styles and vocals is truly a spectacle.

Nils showcased his vocal ability and range of styles, from clean, melodic singing to harsher, grittier tones, complementing Elize and Mikael perfectly! Mikael brings the growl and clean in one hit, with a chemistry and presence with both band members and fans that make Amaranthe a sensory overload!

The chemistry between this band is obvious with “The Catalyst” and “The Nexus,” enticing a few in the centre to start a small circle pit! Bringing it down to an impressive rock vibe with “That Song,” getting the Tivoli crowd singing and dancing.

Johan and Morten created a powerful backline and rhythm force throughout the night with technicality and precision. Rock-solid bass coupled with powerful and energetic drumming. Alongside Olof on guitars, one would be forgiven if he were not at home in the Harry Potter series, commanding guitars with such skill and ease yet managing to interact and tease the crowd. The technical solos and ability of Olof are second to none, creating an element that is essential to the band.

“One more song!” the chant went on and on, ending such an amazing spectacular with “Drop Dead Cynical.” I can only say this show was nothing short of spectacular. A high-energy performance and engaging stage presence. The band’s chemistry is insatiable, and they have a knack for connecting with their audience. Whether it is through Elize’s powerful vocals, Henrik’s intense growls, or Nils’ melodic singing, each member brings something special to the stage.

The visual aspect of the shows is also a highlight, with no expense spared. Kudos to the lighting team for creating stunning lighting effects, synchronized movements, and interaction with the crowd, creating a concert experience that is both visually and sonically captivating.

Overall, Amaranthe’s music and live performances are a testament to their creativity and passion for pushing the boundaries of metal. If you ever get the chance to see them live, it is an experience you will not want to miss! And what an end to a whirlwind tour of Australia. Amaranthe, we miss you already—come back soon!!!
