Thousands of people flocked to The Fortitude Music Hall this Monday, with lines going around the block, it was amazing to see how many fans showed up to give their support to the highly anticipated Simple Plan.

Walking into the venue it was alive with energy and people singing along and dancing to the music that played before the first act even began. As the anticipation built fans were estatic when Jax, the first opening act for Simple Plan, took to the stage bringing her vibrant energy and powerful stage presence with her. Performing her hit songs 90s kids, Victorias secret, Jax definitely knew how to work the crowd and get them prepared for the rest of the night.

We The Kings and Boys Like Girls had the crowd going wild for them, the venue was full with people singing and dancing along to all of their songs, both of these bands brought so much energy and charisma with them onto the stage.

By the time Boys Like Girls finished their set it was safe to say that the crowd was definitely ready to see Simple Plan take to the stage and when they did the deafening screams of fans came from every corner of venue. Cannons showered the fans with confetti as the band kicked off with hits I’d Do Anything, Shut Up! and Jump. Warming the crowd up for a night of excitement and fun. They kept the vibes high as they continued on with some of their most popular songs such as You Suck At Love, Welcome To My Life and Iconic, where Jax joined the boys back on stage for a powerful performance. And soon enough they had turned the venue into the perfect Summer Paradise as huge inflatable beach balls flew through the crowds.

Much to fans dismay though the night was quickly drawing to an end, the band smashed out a few covers of songs like Sk8er boy and Mr. Brightside before delving into a highly anticipated performance of What’s New Scooby-Doo, with multiple people flocking the stage dressed up as the loveable great Dane, I for one can say it bought back tons of fun memories from my childhood. Travis Clark, the lead singer of We The Kings, joined Simple Plan back on stage for Where I belong before it was time for the encore, it was sad to see the night coming to an end, with a few more songs left the band delivered with I’m Just a Kid before bringing the night to a Perfect end.

Overall Simple Plan was absolutely amazing to see perform live, as were the very talented opening acts, Jax, We The Kings and Boys Like Girls. There was not a moment of the night that was not spent just having fun singing and dancing along. It was an amazing experience and I’ll personally be on the lookout incase they tour back in Australia in the future.
