Wow, just wow! Sleeping with Sirens absolutely annihilated The Tivoli last night! Brisbane brought the heat for Sunday at Good Things, and it seems like the SWS lads just can’t get enough, with another sold-out sideshow that was made even more special by being the final gig of an amazing tour and the last show of the year for these rock legends.

Let’s set the scene: the fans, especially in Brisbane, are legendary! They sang along to every song with such passion that it felt like one massive, united choir. The energy was electric, off the charts, and the heat even made some a little crazy. You’d find yourself jumping, singing, and maybe even shedding a tear or two. It’s an emotional rollercoaster and a rocking’ party all rolled into one – a perfect warmup for last night’s main event!

But before we dive into SWS, let’s talk about the stellar opening act, Melbourne-based band Wayside. These guys set the stage on fire with a masterful blend of haunting melodies and powerful riffs. Thomas Davenport’s vocals soared high, hitting all the right emotional notes and captivating the audience from start to finish. Recognized by Triple J Unearthed, Wayside’s unique sound is a fusion of 80s new romantic vibes, punk, indie, metal, and classic Aussie rock. Their performance was packed with catchy riffs, melodic choruses, and hooks that seamlessly blended these diverse styles. They were the perfect support act, and the Brisvegas fans were absolutely enthralled by Wayside’s live show, proving that this band is worth every bit of the hype.

And now, the main attraction… Energy overload! Before I continue singing the praises of this epic band, let’s take a moment to appreciate the uniqueness of frontman Kellin Quinn. His vocals are nothing short of spectacular! With a remarkable range that effortlessly hits those high notes with precision and power, his voice is filled with raw emotion and intensity that instantly captivates the audience. Whether he’s belting out anthems or delivering softer, more intimate lyrics, Kellin’s voice is a dynamic force that elevates every performance. His ability to convey passion and connect with listeners truly sets him apart in the rock music world.

Brisbane was no exception. The energy levels were dialled up to 11, and the band blew the roof off the place. Nick Martin and Justin Hills on guitars were phenomenal, shredding those riffs and bringing the house down while jumping around like crazy! Matty Best on drums was a powerhouse, keeping the beat and rhythm so tight that everyone in the crowd couldn’t help but move.

But seriously, the Brisbane fans were off the charts! The energy in the room was electric, with everyone singing along to every song. From the opener “Tally it Up” to the follow-up “Do it Now, remember it Later,” we knew we were in for a treat. It was like one big, massive sing-along party. You could feel the love and passion from the crowd – they were all over it! “If I’m James Dean and You’re Audrey Hepburn” kept them singing toward the end of the set, with highlights like “Kick Me,” “Better Off Dead,” and “Crosses” standing out for me.

Sleeping with Sirens have truly cemented themselves as legends in the emo rock scene, and last night was no exception. They have this incredible ability to connect with their fans, and it’s just magic. If you haven’t seen them live yet, you’re missing out big time. They’re the real deal, and Brisbane knows it! You might have to wait for their new album, which Kellin promised would be the best music they’ve ever written – and the songs played last night may never be played again. But if you were there last night, you get it, if unfortunately, you were now you may have missed something truly spectacular that may never be repeated.
