The night at The Tivoli in Brisbane was a memorable one, after almost a decade away The Dillinger Escape Plan returned with special guests H09909 (Horror).

The evening kicked off with Ho99o9, unleashing a relentless wave of gritty, industrial-infused hardcore hip-hop. Their performance shattered boundaries and shook the venue with raw, chaotic intensity, quickly igniting the atmosphere. The band’s aggressive, genre-defying sound set the stage ablaze, building anticipation for the main act to follow.

When Dillinger Escape Plan took the stage, the room erupted with anticipation. Their musicianship was nothing short of exceptional—complex, precise, and ferocious. The band’s technical prowess was on full display as they navigated through their intricate compositions with finesse, blending chaos and control seamlessly.

Overall, the Brisbane crowd’s while enthusiastic, remained more reserved compared to the raucous crowds seen in other cities—fewer crowd surfers, but that didn’t dampen the energy in the room. For longtime fans of Dillinger Escape Plan, this performance is a must-see—a true representation of their essence. And for those new to the band who missed their prime, this experience is an eye-opener. It will transport you into a realm where music feels raw, daring, and palpably alive, leaving a lasting impression of their dark, intense energy.
