We have been waiting a long time to bring you this chat, we actually did it in early December, and had to wait until now to be able to post it but we are go grateful for this chat.
Its hard to believe that its been 20 years since Goo Goo Dolls last headlining tour in Australia. But the wait is over, this February and March sees the boys on our shores with special guests Thirsty Merc. The tour will see the the ‘Iris’, ‘Slide’ and ‘Name’ hitmakers perform concerts in Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne, alongside their already announced appearance at Yours & Owls festival in Wollongong.
Formed by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac in Buffalo, NY in 1986, Goo Goo Dolls have quietly broken records, contributed a string of staples to the American songbook, connected to millions of fans, and indelibly impacted popular music for over three decades.
Beyond selling 15 million records worldwide, the group has garnered four GRAMMY® Award nominations and nearly a dozen platinum and gold singles combined and seized a page in the history books by achieving 16 #1 and Top 10 hits. As a result, they hold the all-time radio record for “Most Top 10 Singles.”
