Tours: Luca Brasi Announce Intimate Acoustic Tour

LUCA BRASI ANNOUNCE ‘THE WORLD DON’T OWE YOU ANYTHING’ ALBUM LAUNCH ACOUSTIC TOUR

Hitting Intimate Venues in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane & Hobart in Sep/Oct

Luca Brasi have announced some very special acoustic shows to celebrate the release of their new album, The World Don’t Owe You Anything, out September 29 via Cooking Vinyl Australia. Kicking off in Sydney on September 28, Luca Brasi will strip it all back in some of the country’s coziest venues, showcasing the Australian rock powerhouse at their most intimate.

The acoustic tour announcement arrives after the news of their festival, Til The Wheels Fall Off, selling out in under a week. Taking place in Launceston on September 9, the final Wheels promises to be one hell of a send off for the beloved festival with a stacked line-up featuring Luca Brasi, Press ClubHope DBec Stevens and heaps more.

ICYMI, Luca Brasi revealed their latest track, “Sonny”. Downshifting in tempo, “Sonny” puts Luca Brasi’s remarkable sense of restraint and poise on full display. The song revels in its quiet assuredness. No string plucked out of place, no syllable wasted. Deftly rising and falling, “Sonny” does its best work in its sense of anticipation.

“Sonny is a telling story about someone and the ride they are on in life. Being in a band, and living a real-life between touring is a bizarre existence at times. It is trying to understand who you are in between these lives, the highs and lows and everything they bring. Understanding what lifts you up but also what keeps you grounded is everything.” – Luca Brasi

This band of mates, formed in the pristine yet rugged surrounds of Tasmania’s oft unforgiving east coast, has long been on a journey. From 2011’s raucous Extended Family debut that grabbed everyone by the scruff and hauled them into a party that was already well underway, to 2021’s Everything Is Tenuous, that displayed a more matured, slowed down reflection on love, growing up, and getting older.

And now with The World Don’t Owe You Anything, the group’s sixth studio album, Luca Brasi gives us everything they’ve got. The riffs are desperate, fast, and are aching to be heard. The songwriting takes us on a journey of introspection and self-reflection and throws it up against a bombastic, urgent backing track that harkens back to the group’s salad days. The result is a collection of songs that beg the sky-flung fists and beer showers of bandrooms across the country to come with it.

Engineered by the group’s own Pat Marshall and produced by the band in collaboration with Ben Stewart at the esteemed facilities of Pudding’s House of Flavour and Banana Pig Studios, The World Don’t Owe You Anything is that rare gem of a band fully embracing every piece of who they are and where they’ve come from to form something that feels newer, more vital, and more vibrant than ever.

The World Don’t Owe You Anything is out September 29 via Cooking Vinyl Australia.
