Black Veil Brides are back with their seventh album Vindicate. Produced by Andy Biersack and Jake Pitts. Vindicate really steps up from previous records in terms of heaviness and aggression but still with all the BVB groove and harmony. Biersack’s vocals especially shine on this album and I feel only get stronger with each album
The album seems to ask questions of faith and one’s personal beliefs, wrapped up in a theatrical package that delivers far more than just songs. “Invocation to the Muse” sets a meditative tone, which to me sucks you in before the onslaught begins, with amazing stadium rock and metal vibes
Tracks like the amazing “Revenger” ft Machine Head’s Robb Flynn are just a plain old pile driver to the senses, where as “Cut” which features Andy’s wife and muse Lilith Czar, makes your emotions run wild with escapism and proves a spiritualistic partner to the track that follows in “Hallelujah”
One of my personal favourites on this album is the song “Sorrow” which is a fiery straight up rocker with some leanings into Grunge which is just right in my wheelhouse. The song is totally living on repeat in my brain
“Certainty” is just amazingly epic. You have the drama, the suspense, the choir and then the hard as hell rock, and you also have a track like “Bleeders” which is just pure fire, with no let up.
Vindicate isn’t a bunch of singles, with no cohesiveness, which to me is how a lot of albums are presented these days. This is a real album. One that deserves to be played from beginning to end. Immerse yourself in the journey and just don’t “LISTEN”. Believe me, it’s worth it
The band has been around for a long time but this album feels like somewhat of a rebirth, with the band firmly staking their claim as one of the best hard rock and metal bands around, forget the image you had of BVB from 2010, 2015, or beyond. Black Veil Brides in 2026 have been Vindicated, and I bet it feels great to them.
