Last night, JD Fortune returned to the Australian stage in spectacular fashion, and the energy in Brisbane was nothing short of electric. After years away, the 2005 Rock Star INXS winner and former INXS band member (2005-2011) took to the stage at Brisbane’s Triffid, in a country he clearly considers a second home. With a look of pure joy and gratitude, JD delivered a performance that celebrated his time with INXS, the band’s legendary legacy, and a handful of his own solo tunes to keep the night fresh and exciting.

The crowd was packed and primed, eagerly awaiting JD’s comeback, and he didn’t disappoint. From the opening notes of “Suicide Blonde,” the building erupted, spinning into a high-energy set that included “New Sensation,” “Devil’s Party,” and more. Watching JD perform these classics, you could feel the reverence and passion he has for the music, and the way he brought these songs back to life was nothing short of spectacular. He did his predecessor, Michael Hutchence, proud, remaking each hit with a raw energy and heartfelt emotion that had everyone on their feet. But what really set the night apart was JD’s captivating stage presence and undeniable vocal talent. Backed by a world-class band, he took the audience on an emotional rollercoaster, honoring INXS’s storied history while showcasing his own unique voice. There was a huge sense of connection between JD and the crowd, feeding off each other’s energy to push the performance to even greater heights with every song.

The show was a dynamic, emotionally charged experience. More than just a concert, it was a celebration of music, legacy, and passion. As the set drew to a close with “Don’t Change,” the entire Triffid floor was vibrating with dancing, jumping, and wild Brisbane rock fan enthusiasm. When JD finished, he looked out at the crowd with a genuine smile, promising he’d return next year—and Brisbane, you can bet he meant it.

If you missed out, consider this a wake-up call: don’t miss the next chance to witness one of rock’s greatest frontmen in action. JD Fortune didn’t just fill giant shoes. He wore his own with pride, delivering a performance that was pure, intense, and unforgettable. This tour is a must-see for Australian INXS fans, and for anyone who loves raw, authentic rock ‘n’ roll.

Stay tuned, because JD is back, and he’s just getting started. Trust us, seeing him in person is an experience you won’t want to miss. The energy, the passion, the pure musicality, this is live music at its finest, and Brisbane just proved it can still rock harder than ever.
