From capital cities to regional towns, Australia’s most gloriously contradictory singer-songwriter KATE MILLER-HEIDKE has announced she’ll be hitting the road with her biggest tour ever, celebrating her acclaimed new album THE KISS AND THE ABYSS, and the 20th anniversary of her platinum debut LITTLE EVE.

Fresh from launching her brand-new album in a series of intimate shows that left audiences spellbound, THE SIRENS AND THE STARS TOUR will take Kate to stages all over Australia, well beyond the usual ports of call, and into uncharted waters.

The tour will commence in Brisbane on March 19, heading through the vast expanses of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia, before concluding on Saturday 21 August in Albury NSW, with the promise of an Adelaide show to be announced!

Kate Miller-Heidke has always lived in a place of musical contradictions. Opera and pop, theatrical and folk, epic and intimate, heartfelt and funny, classical and of the moment. Her new album THE KISS AND THE ABYSS is no exception. Hailed by some as her masterpiece, it is a powerful, timely, and timeless record in the style of gothic folk. It’s a sound that reconnects Kate with her earliest musical instincts, the folk tradition she grew up listening to and honing her songwriting on – artists like Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez and Leonard Cohen – now refracted back through a darker, wiser, and more cinematic lens, adding a layering of theatricality that is unmistakably Kate.

THE KISS AND THE ABYSS explores the perils of modern technology and the internet age, conspiracy theories, influencers, medieval thinking, the apocalypse, friendships, change, despair, and ultimately, hope. The album’s broad scope is brought into focus by its singles, with HOLIDAY offering a sharp, wry, amusingly off-kilter look at the abyss that exists between our hashtagged expectations and our unfiltered realties. A CERTAIN PANIC turns its gaze to darker places, examining the inner life of an influencer, and the shattering dissonance of existing within a constructed persona. While the tender BUTTERFLIES is an emotionally resonant meditation on the end of a friendship, and the unsettling, inevitable nature of change.

Timeless musical soundscapes and ancient mythologies meet modern concerns, with songs that seduce, songs that can make you laugh when you least expect it, and songs that sound a warning. Songs that are the sirens of our times. With Kate as the ultimate siren herself, luring you into her world with a voice that is glorious, ethereal, and otherworldly, but always beautifully human.

2027 also marks the 20th anniversary of Kate’s platinum debut album LITTLE EVE. She’ll be digging into some long-buried treasures of that era, playing much-requested songs she hasn’t performed in years, charting a course from her first album to her latest, and the many highlights of her long and varied career along the way.

Expect darkness and light, heartfelt emotion and sharp humour, raw folk storytelling and vocal fireworks, dramatic intensity and pop-folk fun. Kate’s incredible live shows are known for leaving audiences in stunned silence one minute and erupting in laughter the next. She is as funny, warm, and unpredictable between songs as she is staggering within them. That voice, one of the great instruments in Australian music, soaring from tender whispers to operatic heights. It’s impossible to resist and glorious to follow.

Join Kate with her longtime collaborator, the virtuosic KEIR NUTTALL on guitar, plus other special guests, as she charts a course from LITTLE EVE to THE KISS AND THE ABYSS, plus highlights from the journey between them that have made her one of Australia’s most acclaimed and cherished artists. A show for devoted fans and curious newcomers alike, of ALL AGES.

These are shows for devoted fans and curious newcomers alike. All shows are ALL AGES. Families and children are very welcome – one of them might even end up on stage with Kate!

Follow the stars, watch out for sirens, and don’t wait too long: tickets will not last.
