REDHOOK

ANNOUNCE ‘BREAKING UP WITH’ 2024 NATIONAL HEADLINE TOUR DATES

Sydney-based alt-rock powerhouse RedHook will supersize the party at their biggest Australian headline shows ever this August and September. Tickets on sale ThursdayMay 30 at 9am AEST HERE.

In honour of their infectious new anthem ‘Breaking Up With‘, RedHook will be visiting fans in Ngunnawal/Canberra, Ngarigo/Jindabyne, Kuwarna/Adelaide, Naarm/Melbourne, Boorloo/Perth, Mulubinba/Newcastle, Gadigal/Sydney and Meanjin/Brisbane. The tour package is bursting with femme power, with the band to be joined by Naarm/Melbourne melodic rock force The Beautiful Monument and Mulubinba/Newcastle pop-punk stalwarts Eat Your Heart Out, with Boorloo/Perth metalcore rising stars Patient Sixty-Seven opening the night.

Lead singer Emmy Mack adds:

“It’s been 16 months between Soju shots, but we’re ready for a full send! We couldn’t be more excited to hit the road with this insanely good lineup (to be honest, I’m very excited for the ladies’ bathroom to be extra crowded on this tour) and hang with all our legendary fans, who are the entire reason we do what we do. See you in the saxophone circle pit!”

Since its release, ‘Breaking Up With’ has seen extensive support from the likes of SpotifyApple MusicDeezer and YouTube Music and was added to rotation on national broadcaster triple j. The outrageous accompanying music video directed by Colin Jeffs (‘Imposter‘ feat. Yours Truly, ‘Tourist‘) and featuring superstars from Pro Wrestling Australia, was also added to rotation on ABC‘s rage.

RedHook had a jam-packed live schedule across 2023, which saw them tour Australia supporting legendary rockers The Smashing Pumpkins and Jane’s Addiction, before completing their biggest ever, largely sold-out headline tour, which included a recording of triple j‘s Live At The Wireless at their sold-out Naarm/Melbourne show at the Corner Hotel.

The band then toured the UK and Europe for a third time, supporting Stand Atlantic and performing live at the 20th Anniversary of Download UK and Czech Republic’s Rock For People. They ended 2023 with a packed summer festival season, playing Spilt Milk alongside Post Malone and Dom Dolla and Kuwarna/Adelaide’s Froth and Fury Fest alongside Sunk Loto and Suicidal Tendencies. They’ve also previously played Germany’s Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, as well as Australia’s Yours & OwlsGroovin the MooGood Things and UNIFY Gathering festivals.

Their debut record, 2023’s ‘Postcard From A Living Hell‘, peaked at #10 on the ARIA Album Charts and was triple j’s Feature Album. Their previous two offerings ‘Tourist’ and ‘Scream 2‘ were embraced by triple j, Double JKerrang! Radio (UK), The Music and Punktastic (UK). Previous releases have also received immense support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 (UK), Kerrang! (UK), triple j UnearthedNME, Hysteria MagazineKill Your Stereo, MANIACS and Wall of Sound.

‘Breaking Up With’, ‘Scream 2’ and ‘Tourist’ are the first tastes of a larger release to be announced in the coming months.
